Super Star Acupuncture has provided holistic traditional Chinese medicine treatments since October 2018. Created to offer wonderful, quality healthcare to those in need, our goal is to spread the wisdom of Chinese Medicine. Thorough health assessments and efficient treatment plans are performed to achieve patient holistic wellness. Chinese medicine has the amazing ability to unveil the root cause of an illness. Therefore, it is wonderful for not only healing, but preventing future illness.

Katie Star, L.Ac.

Our acupuncturist Katie (Kate) Star earned the first part of her Master’s of Science in Oriental Medicine from Finger Lakes College of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in NY. To further her comprehension of classical Chinese medicinal training, she finished her master’s in California at Emperor’s College and Dongguk University Los Angeles. She completed internships at each university, at Veterans Affairs, as well as an externship at the USC Student Health Center.

Post graduate work includes training with Master Jia Yu in Moorpark, CA. Kate learned his family lineage's acupuncture theory, a powerful treatment style dating back to 1492 (and earlier) especially beneficial for pain relief.

Kate enjoys ballet fitness classes, cooking, and is currently learning French.
