Super Star Acupuncture was started for the love of Chinese medicine philosophy. My clinic has helped people heal illnesses since October 2018, and spreads the wisdom of classical Chinese medicine.
Hi, I’m Kate Star and I run this small acupuncture clinic in Toluca Lake, CA.
From a passion for healing illness through alternative practices in my massage therapy program - combined with the incredible Chinese medicine philosophical views of life, death, and disease (with an air of life amusement) - I help people heal with peaceful treatments.
I earned the first part of my acupuncture training from Finger Lakes College of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in NY. I left this school to find one that incorporated Chinese medicine philosophy in it’s own real life practices, and provided a deeper understanding of the ancient medicine. I found myself in California at Emperor’s College and Dongguk University LA. My training also included working in clinics at Veterans Affairs and the USC Student Health Center.
Post graduate work includes training with Master Jia Yu. I learned his family lineage's acupuncture theory, a powerful treatment style dating back to 1492 (and earlier) especially beneficial for treatment of pain.
Chinese medicine is one of the best medicines. It heals illness and works for, not against, the body. It’s powerful practices rebalance your physiological functions so natural healing mechanisms (such as detoxing, proper circulation, etc.) are restored for you.
